The Right Fit with Carmen Frazier

Success for Carmen Frazier has been the result of finding the right place to be.

After a year of playing Little League baseball, she made the switch to softball, which led her to the opportunity to play the sport on the college level.

After playing Division I softball at Coppin State University for one year, Frazier moved on to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

It was at UMES where she found her niche as a member of the Hawks softball team and her career path to being a news producer at WJLA-TV in Washington, D.C.

In this episode, Frazier discusses with host Earl Holland how those changes made an impact in her life as well as how attending a Historically Black College shaped her experiences.

Carmen also discusses what it’s like working behind the scenes in the television newsroom environment as well as how she began her own T-shirt design company, “Make A Statement.”
