Living the American Dream with Vinny Varadarajan

When Vinny Varadarajan tried out for the game show “Sports Jeopardy!” little did he know he was about to start a run that would not only put him in the record books among “Jeopardy!” contestants at the time but among some of the most successful winners in game show history.

Varadarajan set the record for most wins in “Sports Jeopardy!” history with 15 consecutive victories between Oct. 2015 and Feb. 2016. That run cemented him among notable game show winners such as Ken Jennings, Lt. Thom McKee, John Carpenter, Michael Larsen, and, most recently, James Holzhauer.

In this episode, Varadarajan joins host and fellow "Sports Jeopardy!" winner Earl Holland to discuss his interest in trivia, how he tried out for the show, and his entire experience during the run.

Vinny also talks about being a New York sports fan, being able to experience the championship celebrations of the Washington Nationals and Washington Capitals as a resident of the Washington D.C.-Metropolitan area, and much more.
