Baseball Movie Rundown with Ben Penserga

Baseball and movies share a bond in popular culture that spans more than a century.

They both draw crowds, are entertaining, and take the spotlight in the summer months.

And as shown in the past, when the two are combined, they make great and sometimes iconic memories.

In this episode, host Earl Holland and guest, Ben Penserga of the “Movies and a Meal Podcast,” discuss the 30th anniversary of the releases of “Field of Dreams,” and “Major League,” and the importance of those baseball movies on pop culture.

Penserga and Holland will discuss some of their favorite and least favorite baseball movies as well as the evolution of baseball movies from those released in theaters, to documentaries such as Ken Burns' “Baseball,” and up to ESPN’s 30-for-30 series and SB Nation’s Beef History and Collapse series.

Holland and Penserga also pitch their dream baseball-themed movies and projects.
